High quality paving should look stunning, but must also be durable to ensure it lasts. That is even more important in high traffic locations. The last thing you want is to end up with issues like cracks and erosion. When durability really matters, one of the best options is Scoutmoor grey sawn Yorkstone. Let’s have a closer look to see why you should choose it.

Long lasting

Yorkstone in general is one of the most durable natural stones in Britain. However, it comes in different varieties with differing levels of hardness and graining. So, you need to think carefully about which type to use for different applications.

Scoutmoor is the toughest type of Yorkstone you can buy. It’s a lovely grey or blue, sometimes with browns and greens. Notably, it is hard, dense, and has very tight grains. This means it is the most durable choice, offering high resistance to abrasion and impacts.

Another key thing to keep in mind is Scoutmoor grey sawn Yorkstone is exceptionally strong. The combination of high compressive and flexural strength means it is an outstanding choice for high load applications. This can include roads, driveways, and much more, especially when there is heavy traffic.

Resistance

We love to complain about the weather in Britain. However, we have pretty good reason when you consider how temperamental it can be. We can have intense heatwaves and extremely cold winters. All of this can cause a lot of trouble for materials. Luckily, Scoutmoor is incredible when it comes to weather resistance. It can withstand heat, cold, heavy rain, and frost action. It will be stable and reliable, whatever the weather.

Adding to this, Scoutmoor has good chemical and salt resilience. Therefore, you can use it in coastal settings and can apply de-icing salts in winter without fear.

Sustainability

All of the benefits above make Scoutmoor the clear number one choice if you want paving that will provide a very long service life. You will definitely get your money’s worth. With more focus than ever on sustainability and ensuring things last, it is unbeatable.
